Advanced Plating Technologies in Milwaukee is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Associate to help run our logistics operations. This entry‑level role handles inbound/outbound shipments, packing, labeling, and basic equipment operation while maintaining a safe, organized dock. You may step in as backup driver as needed and support the packing team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required or equivalent.
• 3–5 years shipping/receiving experience preferred.
• Ability to operate pallet jack, stacker, forklift; training provided.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming and outgoing shipments, including small packages and palletized freight.
• Inspect shipments for accuracy, damage, and proper documentation.
• Label and organize customer orders using purchase orders, job cards, or work order receivers.
• Prepare products for shipment through proper packing and palletizing.
• Schedule pickups and coordinate deliveries to ensure timely shipment of goods.
• Communicate with shipping carriers to process and track outbound shipments.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
• Assist the packing department with packaging tasks when needed.
• Transport materials from receiving or staging areas to the production floor.
• Maintain a clean, organized dock and general shipping/receiving area.
• Report equipment malfunctions and shipping/receiving issues to the manager.
• Serve as a backup delivery driver; maintain accurate vehicle logs when driving.
• Collaborate with other departments to help meet shipping schedules and deadlines.
