Job summary

Vallourec North America is seeking a warehouse associate in Houma, LA to handle shipping, receiving and inventory tasks. You will pick up and deliver materials, update records, restock inventory, and process freight documents while maintaining a safe, organized warehouse environment.

The role requires basic math skills, a valid driver’s license, and forklift experience preferred. Applicants should be prepared for after-hours calls and adhere to company safety standards.

Qualifications

• Requires basic math skills and ability to operate basic office equipment.
• Maintain a current driver’s license in state of residence and insurability per company requirements.
• Forklift experience preferred. Prior shipping/receiving work is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver materials in Tube-Alloy vehicle as needed.
• Remove and restock inventory in warehouse to support inventory turns.
• Receive all freight shipments and distribute to appropriate department.
• Complete shipping/receiving documents (bills of lading, warehouse movement tickets).
• Assist inventory team during periodic counts and inspections.
• Answer calls after normal hours and take appropriate action.
• Maintain warehouse, trucks, forklift and related assets in a clean, safe condition.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Description

DUTIES:

• Pick up and deliver materials in Tube-Alloy vehicle when needed Operate vehicle consistent with Tube-Alloy safe driving manual.
• Remove and restock inventory in warehouse as required by inventory turns.
• Receive all freight shipments for company and distribute to appropriate department.
• Complete all documents related to shipping and receiving, i.e., warehouse movement ticket, bills of lading, etc.
• Assist inventory department’s periodic inventory inspection for deterioration prevention.
• Receive calls after normal working hours and take appropriate action.
• Maintain warehouse, trucks, forklift and other assigned assets in a clean and safe condition.
• Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: High School Degree or GED. Education requirements may be satisfied through alternative education and/or previous job experience.

EXPERIENCE: Forklift experience preferred. Work experience in a shipping/receiving department or previous work experience in another department of Tube-Alloy is preferred.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Requires basic math skills and ability to operate basic office equipment. Maintain a current driver’s license in state of residence and maintain insurability consistent with company’s insurance requirements.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Class I (Vallourec Tube-Alloy Physical & Environmental Requirements)

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: As detailed in Minimum Training Requirements Manual.
