Job summary

Openwork is partnering with an industrial client to hire a Shipping & Receiving / Material Handler in Northeast Houston, TX. The role ensures materials are received, stored, and shipped accurately in a fast-paced environment.

Weekly pay at $19.00-21.00 per hour, full-time schedule Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM, with 70% outdoor work and a strong emphasis on safety and accuracy. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; forklift experience is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, or material handling
• Strong forklift experience required
• Ability to lift and move 50+ pounds regularly
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Reliable transportation
• Basic computer skills
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

• Inspect and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and condition
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts and warehouse equipment
• Store and organize materials in designated areas
• Pick, pack, and prepare outbound shipments
• Complete shipping documentation including bills of lading and packing slips
• Move materials throughout the facility to support operations
• Maintain accurate inventory and assist with cycle counts
• Operate forklifts in a heavy-use environment
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
• Work outdoors approximately 70% of the time

POSITION OVERVIEW

Openwork is partnering with a respected industrial client to hire an experienced Shipping & Receiving / Material Handler. This role plays a key part in daily operations by ensuring materials are received, handled, and shipped accurately and efficiently.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inspect and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and condition
