Job summary

Perdue Farms is seeking a Sr. Shipping Lead in Concord, NC to oversee inbound and outbound shipments, supervise a team, and ensure accurate inventory handling.

The role focuses on safe, efficient product movement in a fast-paced environment, with daily interactions across multiple departments to maintain schedule adherence and quality standards. The position requires forklift experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to lead by example while maintaining safety and sanitation

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of shipping/receiving or warehouse experience.
• Experience operating forklifts and other powered industrial equipment.
• Ability to pass forklift/pallet jack certification courses offered by Perdue.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing lists and POs.
• Unload and load trucks, ensuring safe handling and efficiency.
• Document and track inventory accurately.
• Prepare and package outgoing shipments with proper labeling.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety standards.
• Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation as needed.
• Communicate with supervisors and teammates to resolve issues.
