Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH Company, is seeking a Shipping Supervisor for our Endicott, NY plant. You will oversee shipping and receiving operations, supervise a team, ensure accurate documentation, and coordinate with internal departments and partners to keep the flow smooth.

Responsibilities include maintaining safety and efficiency, organizing the yard, training staff, and leading annual inventory counts. A forklift operation capability is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing, shipping/loading, or warehouse environment.
• Strong communication skills at all employee levels.
• Ability to operate a sit-down forklift.
• Commitment to building diverse talent to support robust decision-making and promotion from within.

Responsibilities

• Manage shipping and receiving staff, including hiring, scheduling, performance management, and ensuring company policies and procedures are adhered to.
• Maintain high levels of accuracy, safety, and performance by implementing and upholding operational standards for shipment operations.
• Maintain a clean and organized shipping yard, ensuring items are stored properly and in designated spots.
• Communicate housekeeping standards, provide on-the-job training, and define and clarify duties, responsibilities, accountability, and authority of all direct reports.
• Lead structured process improvement projects to increase stockroom efficiency and productivity.
• Oversee the accurate receiving and inspection of incoming shipments, ensuring compliance with purchase orders.
• Lead the team during yearly inventory to accurately count and report all pipe in stock.
