Job summary

Precision Resource, Inc. seeks a Shipping & Receiving Lead for our Vernon Hills, IL manufacturing division.

The role involves planning, coordinating, and leading material handling to ensure timely delivery of products, while operating forklifts and coordinating with Purchasing/CS for schedules. We value a high-energy, detail-oriented professional with 2–3+ years forklift experience, strong English communication, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• 2-3+ years forklift driving experience in manufacturing/warehouse.
• Experience as lead or logistics coordination is a plus.
• Proficient with computers and inventory/transport transactions.
• Attention to detail; good math skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate material handling to ensure timely production shipments.
• Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts safely; load and unload trailers.
• Move materials on/off forklifts in a fast-paced environment.
• Staging, loading, and shipping of shipments; ensure accuracy of records.
• Process domestic and international shipping documents and create labels.
• Coordinate truck schedules with Purchasing/Customer Service; contact external resources.
• Assist with inventory counting and accuracy.
• Support production material handling as needed.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping at all times.
• Demonstrate reliable, punctual attendance.
• Participate in ongoing productivity improvements and pay increases/bonus potential.

Precision Resource seeks a Shipping & Receiving Lead to join our well-established Vernon Hills, IL manufacturing division. We’re a medium sized division of our solid, privately held, global company that innovates and manufactures a high volume of metal parts for automotive, aerospace, hardware and other industries.

Essential Duties

• Plan, schedule, prioritize and coordinate material handling activities to deliver manufactured products in a timely fashion.
• Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts safely and proficiently. Load and unload trailers.
• Material movement both off and on forklifts throughout fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Ensure proper and timely staging, loading and shipping of shipments.
• Read and accurately update material movement and required inventory records.
• Complete and process domestic and international shipping documents. Create labels.
• Work closely with Purchasing/Customer Service to coordinate incoming truck schedules. Contacting external resources by phone, email or website portals.
• Assist with counting and maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Supportproduction material handling needs as required.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping at all times.
• Very reliable and punctual attendance.
• Apply self-motivation to achieve excellent productivity starting at $21-$27hourly with annual pay increases and bonus potential.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent with ability to read, write, and communicate in English, Bilingual preferred but not required.
• 2-3+ years minimum safe forklift driving experience including loading and unloading trucks in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Related Lead and/or logistics coordinator related experience ideal with excellent decision-making skills.
• Proficiency with computers on the job and performing inventory and transportation related transactions. Knowledge of bills of lading.
• Excellent attention to detail with good math skills.
• Ability to lift or move up to 45 pounds and use various types of material handling equipment safely.
• High energy multi-tasker with outstanding organizational skills.
• Collaborative team-player and communicator who achieves goals effectively in fast-paced environments.
• Strong customer service passion with reliably punctual attendance.
