Job summary

Precision Resource in Vernon Hills, IL seeks a Shipping & Receiving Lead to oversee material handling in a high-volume manufacturing environment. You will plan schedules, coordinate loading, and ensure accurate shipping documents while maintaining order and safety.

Ideal candidates have 2–3+ years forklift experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to lift up to 45 pounds; bilingualism is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• 2-3+ years minimum safe forklift driving experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Related Lead and/or logistics coordinator experience ideal with strong decision-making skills.
• Proficiency with computers and inventory/transportation related transactions; knowledge of bills of lading.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate material handling to deliver products on time.
• Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts and load/unload trailers safely.
• Move materials on/off forklifts in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Ensure proper staging, loading, and shipping of shipments; create labels.
• Update material movement and inventory records accurately.
• Process domestic and international shipping documents.
• Coordinate incoming truck schedules with Purchasing/Customer Service; contact external resources as needed.
• Assist with counting and maintaining inventory records.
• Support production material handling as required; maintain safety and housekeeping.
• Maintain punctual attendance and productivity; strive for excellent performance.

Essential Duties

• Plan, schedule, prioritize and coordinate material handling activities to deliver manufactured products in a timely fashion.
• Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts safely and proficiently. Load and unload trailers.
• Material movement both off and on forklifts throughout fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Ensure proper and timely staging, loading and shipping of shipments.
• Read and accurately update material movement and required inventory records.
• Complete and process domestic and international shipping documents. Create labels.
• Work closely with Purchasing/Customer Service to coordinate incoming truck schedules. Contacting external resources by phone, email or website portals.
• Assist with counting and maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Supportproduction material handling needs as required.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping at all times.
• Very reliable and punctual attendance.
• Apply self-motivation to achieve excellent productivity starting at $21-$27hourly with annual pay increases and bonus potential.

Qualifications
