Job summary

Elite Comfort Solutions, a Leggett & Platt Company, is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Forklift Operator to load and unload materials from the production floor and move goods as needed. This role requires attention to detail, accuracy in paperwork, and commitment to safety and housekeeping within a busy manufacturing environment.

Located in the United States, Kentucky region, you will operate powered industrial trucks, assist with inventory, and support the production team to maintain efficient

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Able to follow verbal and written instructions precisely.
• Demonstrates reliability in attendance and punctuality.
• Maintains safety and quality standards in a production setting.

Responsibilities

• Obtains copy of production schedule and transports material to and from designated areas in the facility.
• Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around storage/production areas.
• Stacking goods in the correct areas following inventory control instructions.
• Checking loads are secure.
• Stacking empty pallets.
• Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck’s battery and lubricating equipment.
• Removing machine attachments and waste material from machines.
• Examining products to verify conformance to quality standards.
• Dumping material into machine hoppers.
• Dump thrash into compactor.
• Complete all necessary paperwork with high accuracy.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping practices in production area.
• Practice proper safety techniques.
• Complete general area maintenance duties on equipment as assigned.

Job Summary:

Operate powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials to and from the production floor.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Education & Experience:

Education:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

• Good mechanical aptitude.
