Job summary

Backyard Products in Monroe, MI is seeking skilled Forklift Operators for our Shipping & Receiving team. You’ll safely move materials, support shipments, and ensure on-time delivery while keeping the production lines ready.

This is a high-energy, hands-on role that rewards reliability, safety awareness, and the ability to work both independently and with a team. Forklift training can be provided, and steel-toe footwear is required.

Qualifications

• Reliable – strong attendance and dependability are essential.
• Safety – minded with strong awareness of surroundings.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Able to work independently while supporting team goals.
• Experienced operating forklifts or willing to train and get certified.
• Detail – oriented when checking shipments and inventory.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive movement.
• Equipped with steel / composite toe footwear (required).

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, move, and stage materials.
• Receive inbound shipments and verify quantities and product accuracy.
• Prepare and stage outbound orders for shipping.
• Supply production areas with materials as needed.
• Perform daily forklift inspections and complete required documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow safety procedures and support a culture of accountability.
• Assist with manual material handling and lifting (up to 50 lbs).

We’re looking for skilled, safety-focused Forklift Operators to support our fast – moving Shipping & Receiving team. This role is critical to keeping materials flowing efficiently, orders moving on time, and our production teams set up for success.

What You’ll Do

As a Forklift Driver in Shipping & Receiving, you’ll play a key role in keeping our facility running smoothly. You’ll be responsible for safely moving materials, supporting incoming and outgoing shipments, and ensuring our products are delivered accurately and on time.

You Will

• Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, move, and stage materials

Pay & Schedule

• $16.50 - $18.00 depending on experience
• 6:00a – 4:30p Monday – Friday
