Job summary

Backyard Products is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to keep our Monroe facility running smoothly. You will move materials safely, load/unload trucks, and maintain a clean, organized work area.

The role emphasizes safety, dependability, and the ability to work both independently and with the team. Expected schedule is 6:00a–4:30p, Monday through Friday, with pay ranging from $16.50 to $18.00 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Reliable – strong attendance and dependability are essential.
• Safety – minded with strong awareness of surroundings.
• Comfortable working in a fast – paced warehouse environment.
• Able to work independently while supporting team goals.
• Experienced operating forklifts or willing to train and get certified.
• Detail – oriented when checking shipments and inventory.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive movement.
• Equipped with steel / composite toe footwear (required).

Responsibilities

• Loads and Unloads inbound and outbound trucks.
• Ensures inbound material is tagged, labeled, and stored properly in yard.
• Breaks packs into correct size and labels material before loading onto trucks.
• Completes pre shift/start up equipment inspection.
• Ensures yard and warehouse are organized and clean.
• Empties trash and wood hoppers.
• Follows forklift safety rules as described by company policy.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Do

As a Forklift Operator you'll play a key role in keeping our facility running smoothly. You'll be responsible for safely moving materials.

You Will

• Safely operate forklifts to move and stage materials
• Perform daily forklift inspections and complete required documentation
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow safety procedures and support a culture of accountability
• Assist with manual material handling and lifting (up to 50 lbs)
