Job Summary

The Shipping/Receiving Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all activities of the shipping/receiving warehouse. Coordinates and expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies. Enters, maintains, and reconciles inventory transactions to ensure accuracy. In addition to receiving, inspecting, unloading packages, and checking their contents to ensure they match the order, and recording shipments with raw material or products.

Major Responsibilities

• Oversee the primary and final packaging and shipping of finished goods.
• Responsible for the accurate receipt of all incoming materials and packaging into ERP.
• Responsible for efficient warehousing of all production inventory.
• Record all daily production into ERP system.
• Receive and input all incoming materials, packaging, and components into ERP system.
• Issue all raw material, components, and packaging to manufacturing orders.
• Prepare shipping documents, develop shipping plans, and schedule carriers to meet those schedules.
• Track discrepant material, finished goods, and components until final disposition is made.
• Work with Production Control to rectify manufacturing orders.
• Perform cycle counts on finished goods and raw materials on a scheduled basis.
• Collaborate with procurement staff to list expected deliveries.
• Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt.
• Unload packages from incoming trucks.
• Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged.
• Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, price, etc.).
• Contact supplier or shipper if a mistake is identified.
• Assume responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacements.
• Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place.
• Ensure invoices are signed and paid for satisfactory deliveries.
• Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control.
• Maintain departmental housekeeping and 5S standards.
