Job summary

Cirtec Medical is seeking a shipping and receiving specialist to manage material movement, labeling, and documentation in our Connecticut facility. You will support inventory control, cycle counts, and kit materials for production orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with our quality system.

The role requires at least 1+ year in shipping/receiving in a regulated setting, strong English, ERP experience, and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

  • 1+ year shipping/receiving experience in a regulated industry.
  • Must read, write and speak fluent English.
  • Experience with ERP or shipping documentation.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Familiarity with FDA/ISO GMP is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Receive customer-supplied or purchased materials and label/store them.
  • Unpack, inspect, route incoming shipments; record shortages.
  • Perform ERP transactions to track movement before inventory.
  • Generate documentation for domestic and international shipments.
  • Monitor inventory levels and place orders for consumables.
  • Schedule shippers/courier pickups.
  • Maintain clean, safe work area and follow safety regulations.

Position Summary:

This position is primarily responsible for the shipping and receiving of materials, verifies and maintains accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments according to company's Quality System Procedures, assists with inventory control and management, performs cycle counting, kits and issues materials to production job orders, and orders production consumable supplies as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive customer supplied and/or purchased materials. This includes proper labeling, storage and documenting movement of materials.
  • Unpack, examine and route incoming shipments, reject damaged items and record shortages.
  • Performs ERP transactions necessary to track movement of goods prior to acceptance into inventory.
  • Generate required documentation for domestic and international shipments.
  • Monitor inventory levels of production consumables and place orders as necessary.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
  • Place orders for R&D materials as assigned.
  • Receive and process all defective products returned for repair, investigation or credit.
  • Schedules Shipper/Courier pickups as required.
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Follow prescribed Safety Regulations.
Must Have:
  • High School Diploma.
  • Minimum of 1+ years of shipping/receiving/warehousing experience preferably in a regulated industry.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
  • Experience with computers and computer software programs. (i.e. FedEx application)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation.
  • Capacity to work well under pressure and take on new challenges.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Awareness of health and safety issues as they relate to the device manufacturing.
  • Ability to work independently using available resources.
  • Preferred experience with FDA standards, ISO 13485 and GMP principles.

Salary Range: $19 to $22/hr depending on skills and experience
