Job summary

Ryerson invites qualified candidates to join our team as Shipping and Receiving Coordinator in Marshalltown, IA. You will assist warehouse management with daily operations, optimize storage, coordinate transportation, and ensure accurate shipment of finished goods to customers.

Responsibilities include operating forklift/crane, managing receipt and storage, coordinating shipping schedules, and maintaining effective procedures.

Qualifications

• Pass a skills-based assessment evaluating reading, math, inspections & measurement, attention to detail, and problem-solving.
• Comfortable working with computer systems (Microsoft Office, SAP Annex Freight).
• Crane and forklift experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Administers and operates the organization's warehouse, including processing packaging and storage of supplies, and materials/equipment
• Operate forklift and crane
• Accounts for all materials and supplies in the store's facilities and audits goods received at the warehouse
• Oversees receipt, storage, and shipment of materials and related reporting in accordance with established procedures
• Prepares and coordinates schedules for shipping and receiving materials to control the flow of goods and regulate warehouse space
• Ensures the effectiveness of operating procedures, space utilization, and maintenance and protection of facilities and equipment
