Job summary

thyssenkrupp Supply Chain Services in North America seeks a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to accurately log materials and goods into inventory. You will coordinate shipments, manage damaged goods and returns, and serve as the main contact for inquiries about orders and inventory.

The role involves working on the warehouse floor near heavy machinery with driving responsibilities and adherence to safety policies. Prior warehouse experience and good communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic math and reading skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Interpersonal skills to communicate with plant manager, sales staff, and plant personnel.
• Warehouse experience with forklift, packing and measuring.
• Safety Mindset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of items shipped and received.
• Oversees safe and reliable packaging of all outgoing shipments.
• Process items for shipment according to established guidelines and procedures.
• Review shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods.
• Reviews all international shipment documentation to ensure it is compliant to applicable standards.
• Maintain timely, effective, and professional communications with all internal and external customers and suppliers.
• Responsible for effective record keeping, filing and other administrative duties as required.
• Must follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.
• Other duties assigned by the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor.
• This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery.
