Job summary

Crown Technical Systems is hiring a Shipping/Receiving Coordinator at our Fontana, CA facility. The role ensures efficient inbound and outbound shipments, accurate inventory, and safe material handling in a manufacturing environment.

You will load and unload deliveries, verify counts, prepare bills of lading, create receipts, and support billing and inventory systems. Excellent communication and basic software skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of shipping/receiving experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Valid California Class C Driver's License with clean driving record.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and inventory software to maintain records.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to operate powered equipment including a forklift and scissors lift.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload deliveries using forklifts, dollies, or hand trucks safely.
• Verifies the quality and count of items unloaded; report discrepancies promptly.
• Notifies supervisor of major discrepancies or substitutions.
• Stage received material and product in appropriate locations.
• Create shipping and receiving receipts within the system.
• Perform inspections on received material and product; refuse non-conforming items.
• Maintain inventory management systems and assist with billing documents.
• Prepare products and bills of lading for shipments; stage for carrier pickup.
• Make deliveries to customers in a box truck, as needed.

Shipping/Receiving Coordinator in USA Fontana, Ca.

Report to the Materials Manager, Shipping/Receiving Coordinator is responsible for processing inbound and outbound shipment activities.

What a typical day looks like:

• Load and unload deliveries using forklifts, dollies, or hand trucks in a safe manner.
• Verifies the quality and count of all items unloaded from trucks and trailers; checks against suppliers count and immediately report discrepancies to carriers, supervisor, and purchasing department per company policy.
• Notifies supervisor of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions.
• Stage received material and product in appropriate location.
• Create shipping and receiving receipts within system.
• Perform inspections on received material and product; document and refuse delivery if material and product do not meet quality standards.
• Maintains inventory management systems to ensure that orders are updated and that appropriate billing documents are provided to accounting or other associated departments, as required.
• Prepares products and bills of lading for shipments; stages product in appropriate staging area for pick up by shipping carrier.
• Make deliveries to customers in box truck, as needed.
• Performs other related duties, as assigned.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2-4 years of experience in shipping and receiving or related field
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Valid California Class C Driver's License and clean driving record
• Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items received.
• Basic understanding of inventory and warehouse management procedures.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or inventory software to maintain records, input data, and create reports.
• Ability to operate powered equipment including a forklift and scissors lift.

What the physical requirements are:

• Must be able to traverse distribution warehouse and access a variety of storage spaces and shelving units by stretching, squatting, and reaching.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 35 pounds at a time.
• Must wear PPE, such as gloves, safety glasses, hard hat, and ear protection, while working on the production floor
