Job summary

Crown Technical Systems, a Flex Company, is seeking a Lead Shipping/Receiving Coordinator in Fontana, CA to oversee a team and manage the end-to-end shipping/receiving process. You will work closely with the Materials Manager and internal teams to ensure accurate records and timely shipments.

Ideal candidate has 4+ years in shipping/receiving, strong inventory knowledge, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 4 years of experience in shipping and receiving or related field.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them, when appropriate.
• Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items received.
• Strong understanding of inventory and warehouse management procedures.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or inventory software to maintain records, input data, and create reports.
• Ability to operate powered equipment including a forklift and scissors lift.

Responsibilities

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Lead Shipping/Receiving Coordinator in USA Fontana, Ca.

Report to the Materials Manager, Lead Shipping/Receiving Coordinator, is responsible for overseeing the shipping and receiving process and leading a team.

What a typical day looks like:

• Oversees the work of assigned team employees.
• Prioritize the workload within the department.
• Assists with training new department personnel.
• Update the status of the materials and ETAs in the ERP system to provide visibility to downstream processes
• Assists team members with technical issues or problems with given assignments.
• Verifies and records all items unloaded for shipments; accurately maintains all shipping records and updates inventory management system
• Perform inspections on received material and product; document and refuse delivery if material and product do not meet quality standards.
• Maintains inventory management systems to ensure that orders are updated and that appropriate billing documents are provided to accounting or other associated departments as required
• Oversee shipping and receiving rejection and return process; completes information on damage claims for in-transit damage.
• Coordinates shipping of products with internal teams (production staff, project managers, etc.) and shipping carrier.
• Prepares products and bills of lading for shipments; stages product in appropriate staging area for pick up by shipping carrier.
• Complete audits and reporting for department on various transactions including receiving receipts and receiving issues.
• Research discrepancies associated with invoices
• Make suggestions for improvement to receiving processes; update work instructions as needed
• Performs other related duties as assigned

What the physical requirements are:

• Must be able to traverse distribution warehouse and access a variety of storage spaces and shelving units by stretching, squatting, and reaching.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 35 pounds at a time.
• Must wear PPE, such as gloves, safety glasses, hard hat, and ear protection, while working on the production floor
