Job summary

New Balance is seeking a Distribution Associate for our Salt Lake City DC. You will coordinate freight pickups, maintain routing guides, and ensure accurate shipping documents to promote efficient product flow.

You will collaborate with DC teams, account services, and customers to improve on-time shipping metrics through data-driven analysis and timely updates. Prior experience with RF scanning and WMS is a plus.

JOB MISSION:

Coordinates freight pickups, organizes and maintains customer routing guides and maintains the proper shipping documents to promote efficient shipping of products.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Collaborate with DC shipping and routing teams and provide actionable feedback.
• Connect with Account Services and account managers and provide feedback on customer carrier performance.
• Work directly with distribution teams to facilitate improvements in on-time shipping metrics.
• Lead data-driven analysis, reporting, and communication of DC and customer shipping. performance and making recommendations for how New Balance should address them.
• Creating and maintaining the database of all customer routing requirements.
• Investigate status of pending shipments and provide updates to shareholders.
• Coordinate wave management with local DC teams.
• Perform duties of Distribution Associates, as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the distribution process.
• Demonstrated ability to read, write and speak English fluently; ability to match numbers/letters.
• Strong verbal and written skills utilizing appropriate demeanor, proper grammar/spelling, and respectful tone to communicate clearly and effectively; professional phone demeanor.
• Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), WMS and email.
• Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills; detail oriented.
• Attention to detail, learning mind-set and collaborative mindset/working style. Ability to learn and retain processes and procedures in a changing environment.
• Sit/stand and work on a computer for long periods of time.
• When performing Distribution Associate duties:Ability to use RF scanner or WMS workstation.Manual Dexterity: Must demonstrate full and functional range of motion in the fingers, hands, wrists, elbows and shoulders, including the ability to perform sustained extension and repetitive upper extremity movements as required by job duties.Lifting & Carrying: Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.Pushing & Pulling: Able to push and pull up to 75 lbs. safely and repeatedly.Mobility & Endurance: Able to stand and walk on concrete surfaces for 8+ hours per day, with regular bending, reaching, twisting, crouching, and other dynamic movements.Able to use conveyor crossovers up to 6 feet, where applicable. Stair Navigation & Elevated Work: Able to go up and down stairs and work at elevated heights, including on a mezzanine level up to 20 feet, where applicable.

Salt Lake City, UT Distribution Center Only Pay Range: $16.95 - $21.20 - $25.40 Hourly (actual base pay varying based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, internal equity, geographic location, and more.)
