Job description

Avery Dennison, a global materials science and digital identification solutions company, is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator for our Graphics Fairport location in Painesville, Ohio. The role involves supporting logistics, finishing, and shipping operations, providing daily logistical support to the facility. The position works on a D Team schedule, 7AM-7PM, on a 2-2-3 rotation, with opportunities for overtime.

Starting Hiring Rate: $21.20/hr

Primary Responsibilities include:

  1. Arranging freight pick-ups and communicating freight status.
  2. Coordinating with transportation groups and carriers to ensure on-time delivery.
  3. Shipping and receiving materials, verifying receipts, and maintaining related documentation.
  4. Loading and unloading trucks, conducting inventory audits, and ensuring FIFO procedures.
  5. Collaborating with Customer Service and Supply Chain teams on orders and receipts.
  6. Managing dock activities and inspecting incoming raw materials.
  7. Maintaining necessary certifications and supporting shipping and receiving functions as needed.
Qualifications:

Candidates should have:

  1. A High School Diploma or GED, or 3+ years relevant experience.
  2. Tow motor certification.
  3. Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office and other relevant programs.
  4. Strong independent work ethic, customer responsiveness, and adaptability.
  5. Experience with computer-based transactional functions, inventory systems, and SOX compliance is preferred.
  6. Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  7. Ability to work overtime and maintain excellent attendance.
