Job description

GENERAL SUMMARY: Receives goods as ordered and delivered and processes packing slips into departmental computer systems, while giving priority to rush items.

Responsibilities:

• Verifies receipt of items against packing slip. Checks in items against purchase orders.


• Enters inventory received into database for tracking.


• Processes returned items for shipping and schedules pick up.


• Investigates and troubleshoots any received goods for issues/problems.


• Maintains receiving and dock area in a clean, safe and orderly condition. Raises awareness of dock security issues.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. - Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.


• Shipping and receiving experience is preferred.
