Job summary

ECS Composites in Medford, OR is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to ensure materials and finished products are received, organized, documented, and shipped accurately and on time. This role balances hands-on duties with paperwork and computer tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Work hours are Mon-Thu 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM with three-day weekends and occasional Friday overtime. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401(k), PTO, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory experience preferred.
• Reliable, organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple priorities.
• Comfortable using computers and learning new systems.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming materials, supplies, and products.
• Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Inspect deliveries for shortages, damage, or other discrepancies.
• Accurately enter receiving and shipping information into company systems.
• Label, organize, and store materials in the correct locations.
• Prepare finished products and materials for shipment.
• Package, wrap, and secure products to prevent damage during transportation.
• Create and verify shipping documents, packing slips, and labels.
• Coordinate pickups and deliveries with carriers.
• Load and unload trucks using appropriate equipment.
• Operate a forklift or pallet jack after proper training and certification.
• Maintain accurate inventory and shipping records.
• Communicate shipment issues or discrepancies to the appropriate departments.
• Keep the shipping and receiving area clean, organized, and safe.
• Work with production, purchasing, and other departments to meet shipping deadlines.
• Follow all safety procedures and quality standards.
• Help identify opportunities to improve accuracy and efficiency.

As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk at our Medford location, you'll help ensure materials and finished products are received, organized, documented, and shipped accurately and on time.

What You'll Be Doing

Physical Requirements

This position requires:

• Standing and walking throughout the shift
• Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent bending, reaching, twisting and kneeling
• Pushing and pulling carts, pallets, and materials
• Loading and unloading shipments
• Using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment
• Working around manufacturing and warehouse equipment
• Working in indoor and outdoor conditions as needed
• Performing repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
