• Communicate with shippers/customers to rectify damages/shortages.
• Conduct customer sales and service at the counter and via phone.
• Enter packing slips and receipts into the system and acknowledge goods in the database.
• Cover the front counter for CSR breaks and peak hours.

What You’ll Do

As a clerk, you’ll be part of our team located in Houston, TX. You’ll get to:

• Utilize knowledge of SB&D shipping procedures to verify and keep records of incoming and outgoing shipments into the Service Center.
• Prepare items for shipment
• Identify information to confirm against invoices, orders and/or other records.
• Unpack and examine incoming shipments, rejecting damaged items, recording shortages.
• Communicate with shipper and/or customers to rectify damages and shortages.
• Conducts customer sales and service both at the counter and via phone.
• Be familiar with and able to interpret packing slips, enter into the computer the correct information, to acknowledge receipt of the goods into the purchase order and processing database;
• Cover the front counter for CSR breaks and as needed during peak hours
