Shipping and Receiving Clerk
The University of Miami/UHealth department of Supply Chain has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time TEMP Shipping and Receiving Clerk to work at the UHealth Medical Campus. The Shipping & Receiving Clerk performs manual labor necessary for the efficient operation of Moving, Shipping and Receiving operations. Individual must be able to move offices, lab furniture and equipment. Must be able to perform special events setup and dismantling for all branches (Medical, Coral Gables, RSMAS) including satellite locations (Deerfield, Palm Beach, Boca, Gables One, Weston and Kendall).
Records shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability.
Unpacks materials and supplies, and ensures accuracy.
Makes delivery of items received to appropriate location or department.
Reports damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement, and record-keeping purposes.
Retrieves surplus equipment or supplies.
Requests product return authorizations and processes required documents.
Able to work under pressure
Must be able to read, write and comprehend English
Must be in top physical condition
Capable of heavy lifting, bending, climbing ladders, sitting, pushing/pulling, etc.
Must be able to use hand trucks, pallet jacks, and basic hand and electric tools
The job requires traveling outside the University under variable weather conditions on hazardous roads and traffic conditions.
Must adhere to all safety standards as established by the University.
Individual is expected to exercise good judgment when faced with tasks of setting priorities if more than one assignment is given at once.

High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
