Job summary

Magna Exteriors in Piedmont, South Carolina, seeks a Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse team, verifying receipts, posting to open orders, and coordinating with drivers to ensure timely shipments. Ideal candidates have shipping/receiving experience, forklift certification, and strong MS Office data-entry skills.

You will follow ISO procedures, maintain auditable records, and support cross-functional teams to serve our customers.

Qualifications

• Previous shipping and receiving experience.
• Understanding of warehousing, inventory, shipping and receiving procedures.
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office.
• Forklift certification and ability to undergo testing.
• Demonstrated strong organizational skills.
• Must be able to distinguish color.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and verify records of receipt of incoming material and equipment and posts to open order of suppliers. Notifies departments of received packages, etc.
• Participate in continuous improvement programs and activities to ensure meeting of departmental performance objectives.
• Establish and maintain auditable records of all receipts and shipments.
• Input and retrieve data from computer to record, update and monitor shipments and dispositions to ensure we are supporting our customer(s).
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks, which requires driving a forklift and lifting of packages.
• Coordinate and arrange trucks in a timely fashion to ensure goods are shipped from Decostar.
• Prepare accurate bills of lading, dray tickets, and shipping documents.
• Coordinate and complete physical inventories and cycle counts as scheduled. Reconcile variances and assist in corrective actions to prevent further occurrences.
• Follow standard operating procedures as outlined in Decostar ISO system for receiving and shipping goods.
• Communicate and prepare reports.
• Other duties as assigned
