Job summary

Staffmark Group is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk in Abilene, TX. The role focuses on receiving shipments, preparing outbound orders, and maintaining an organized warehouse with safety and accuracy at the core.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, basic data entry skills, and ability to read shipping documents. Prior warehouse experience and forklift familiarity are preferred, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic computer and data entry skills required.
• Ability to read, understand, and process shipping documents, packing slips, and inventory records.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Pick, pack, label, and prepare customer orders for shipment with accuracy and quality.
• Complete shipping documentation, including bills of lading, shipping labels, and inventory transactions.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to move materials safely.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts; communicate with carriers.
