Job summary

Kenco Logistics in Texas is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Clerk to verify and record incoming and outgoing shipments. The role prepares outbound shipments, receives deliveries, and uses warehouse management systems to track items.

Responsibilities include document management, labeling and loading, staging shipments, inspecting for damages, reconciling receipts with purchase orders, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum six months in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Document management: manage preparation, creation, retrieval, validation, and storage of documents.
• Labels, packs, and loads items for shipment according to specifications.
• Stage shipments for shipping and accept shipments to the dock.
• Operates stretch wrap banders and prepares pallets for shipping.
• Unloads delivery vehicles and moves items to appropriate area.
• Inspects for damage and reconciles items against freight bills; documents discrepancies.
• Maintains records of all items received and shipped via WMS and inventory systems.
• Checks receipts against purchase orders for proper shipment, shortages, damages, or defects.
• Maintains inventory of shipping materials and keeps area clean and safe.
