Job description

Day Shift $20-$23hr

Depending On Experience

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: (The broad spectrum of items that the role is ultimately held accountable for at the end of the day. Results.)

  • UPS/FedEx/truck
  • Commercial invoicing
  • FIFO
  • Incoming inspection


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: (The finer details of what the role is assigned for the day-to-day activities on the job. Tasks to support results.)

  • Follow shipping instructions set by customer service
  • Ship all orders on designated day, coordinate pullers to the priority of orders
  • Determine the most cost effective shipping method within each customers’ shipping requirements.
  • Ensure product is packaged/palletized correctly to ensure no damages will incur during the shipment process.
  • Ensure all paperwork is correct.
  • Provide a safe working environment.
  • Coordinate with customer service any information on orders that are late to find the best solution, shipping method.
  • Track back orders to ensure they ship with top priority.
  • Ascertain that all outgoing shipments are properly labeled and that correlating documents are included with each shipment.
  • Operate forklifts to load and unload trucks
  • Select the method of consignment utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates
  • Arrange for a carrier pickup
  • Check all shipments and paperwork for errors
  • Follow good packaging procedures to ensure the safety of the shipment
  • Pull, pack and ship finished goods
  • Process customers’ orders by ensuring that the correct ship date and item is being shipped
  • Ensure that the shipping and receiving are cleaned and maintained at all times
  • Responsible for the overall flow of product being shipped, must coordinate pullers to the priority of all orders shipping
  • Receive items daily, reviewing the purchase order, the BOL and the delivery note for greater accuracy

  • Physically count what you are receiving
  • Report any inventory or PO discrepancy's to purchasing and inventory management

    • Physical Requirements include but are not limited to: typing, standing for long periods, stooping and bending at the waist, reaching above shoulder height, sitting and walking throughout the day, repeated twisting at the torso while lifting and pulling inventory from shelves, regular lifting of up to 30 pounds and occasional lifting of 40-50 pounds, occasional climbing of ladders, usage of forklifts and pallet jacks.
