Job summary

Pacific American Fish Co. seeks a detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk for our Vernon, CA facility. You will manage inbound and outbound seafood shipments, coordinate with company trucks and third-party carriers, and keep precise records in a cold storage environment.

Responsibilities include inspecting shipments, packing outbound orders, and maintaining documentation. Strong communication with drivers and customers is essential for on-time, accurate deliveries and inventory updates.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk or similar role.
• Good understanding of shipment and delivery processes.
• Experience with inventory management software.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Documentation experience rather than warehouse/dock experience.
• Inbound and outbound customers and company trucks.
• Open to cover Monday and Sunday as needed.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and verify incoming seafood shipments for accuracy.
• Prepare outbound shipments, including packing, labeling and staging for dispatch.
• Coordinate with drivers and third-party carriers to ensure timely deliveries.
• Generate and verify shipping documents and maintain records.
• Update inventory logs and prepare daily shipping/receiving reports.
• Communicate with drivers, customers and internal teams to resolve issues.
