Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Shipping/Receiving Clerk - 2nd, 3rd shift.
What You Will Do:
Main Function: The Shipping/Receiving Clerk is responsible for documenting, transporting, receiving, and shipping products, documents, packages, and parts to our warehouses, customers, or internal suppliers. They may also provide transportation services for company personnel, including transfers between Eaton operations in Puerto Rico, airports, and/or designated locations. They must comply with safety standards, traffic laws of Puerto Rico, and company policies and procedures.
Main Tasks in Shipping:
- Pick up cargo for shipment in the designated Production area.
- Verify that the 'Shop Pack' documentation matches the units to be shipped.
- Perform releases, SA, and confirmations for each unit using AS400/Vista systems.
- Handle each release according to the shipping mode (Air or Maritime).
- Attach Packing Slip to each processed unit.
- Move cargo to the carriers' containers.
- Manage and store all shipping-related documentation.
- Prepare maritime shipment manifests when required.
- Generate various reports as needed.
- Coordinate shipments with carriers as necessary.
Main Tasks in Receiving:
- Record receipt in the system, pick up, and deliver received goods to designated areas.
- Verify that the 'Packing Slip' matches the received package.
- Organize and archive receipt documents by date and sequence.
- Process each received unit in AS400/Vista and PCS systems.
- Generate feeder receipts if applicable, following Finance department instructions.
- Identify merchandise for inspection or with issues for system reception.
- Move and store incoming cargo in designated areas, ensuring sufficient storage space.
- Manage and store all receipt-related documentation.
- Generate reports as required.
- Coordinate deliveries with carriers and internal departments.
- Follow instructions from supervisors or managers.
- Operate company vehicles and occasionally operate overhead cranes.
- Keep records of PO discrepancies.
Additional Responsibilities for Both Areas:
- Support courier tasks such as collecting and delivering documents/packages within the company.
- Ensure packaging and documentation meet shipping standards.
- Assist in packing materials or documents for transport.
- Provide transportation services for company personnel, following traffic laws.
- Support manufacturing with transportation of parts or pieces.
- Follow safety, health, and environmental procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of business process information.
- Perform other assigned tasks.
- Occasionally operate suspended floor cranes.
- Regularly operate motor vehicles, including trucks (20'-24', Category 8 license).
Qualifications:
Education/Experience/Certifications or Licenses:
- High School Diploma (Fourth Year)
- Two (2) years in a similar or related role
- Valid Driver’s License – Category 3 or preferably Category 8
Skills/Knowledge:
- Experience with systems like AS400, VISTA, License Plate & AES, Air and Maritime shipping
- Good communication with carriers
- Excellent interpersonal skills

- Organized, good judgment, attention to detail
- Ability to work with minimal supervision

- Availability for overtime, including weekends
