Summary
Assist the Receiving Department by handling in-coming and out-going shipments and delivering products to the various company locations.
Essential Job Functions
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase order records.
- Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
- Delivery of items to various locations.
- Maintain a good relationship with other departments throughout the gaming enterprises.
- Maintain vendor files and delivery sheets.
- Travel for the needs of the business or for further training regarding the department or the business.
- Follow procedures for the return of goods.
- Contact vendors when necessary to verify differences in shipments.
- Other duties assigned by Supervisor.
Other Necessary Skills And Abilities
Must have excellent customer service and communication skills both verbal and written. Must be a team player with a positive attitude. Must be highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks at one time. Must be able to complete tasks and projects in a timely manner by prioritizing obligations and time. Must possess the ability to work with various personalities while maintaining impartiality. Must respond to supervisory guidance and assignments and accept constructive criticisms in order to learn new, updated information. The needs for quickness and ease of adjustment to the work environment and flexibility to change are essential in this position. Must possess minimum office skills for filing, typing, and phone work.
Education / Experience
Must be at least 21 years old with a High School diploma, a GED or equivalent experience. Must be able to pass a Certified Forklift Training Course. Knowledge of current accounting software is beneficial but not required. GTRC’s insurance carrier possesses the ability to alter coverage requirements.

Driving Requirements
Must possess a valid state-issued driver’s license and be insurable by the company’s insurance carrier. GTRC’s insurance carrier possesses the ability to alter coverage requirements.
EQUIPMENT TO BE USED
Manual pallet jack, forklift, steel toe boots, back support belt and delivery van. Basis office equipment: copier, fax machine, desktop computer, multi-line phone system, adding machine and ten-key calculator. Computer: software programs such as – current accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite and UPS.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
May be required to lift up to 75lbs. and be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time. Will also be required to reach, bend, stretch, kneel and carry.
TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS
Must be able to effectively handle stressful and compromising situations while remaining focused and professional. Must be able to deal with a variety of personalities without losing perspective. Must be able to work productively under strict time restraints with variable deadlines.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Must be willing and able to work in a crowded and loud, smoking environment while in the casino and able to handle being under constant surveillance. May be required to work in a confined space. Must practice all safety policies, procedures and standards as set by OSHA and MIOSHA. Majority of work is performed in the shipping and receiving warehouse/dock. Will be transporting shipments from warehouse to the different properties and be exposed to nature’s elements; wind, snow, ice, sleet, rain, and heat.
COMMENTS
Native American and Tribal Preference will apply. Must be willing and able to pass a background investigation and a drug and alcohol urinalysis as a condition of employment. Due to accessibility of purchase order and vendor information and also access to player tracking merchandise, adherence to the company’s confidentiality policy is a requirement.
