Position Details

Title: Shipping/Receiving Clerk

Job ID: 21238-1

Pay: $23.00/hr on W2

Location: Wichita, KS, 67226

Shift: 1st shift (8:00a-4:30p), 2nd shift (11:30a-8:00p)

Duration: 12 months Contract with potential extension

Citizenship Requirement: US Citizenship required

Job Description

This position oversees the life-cycle of a repair order from purchase order placement to order closure in the applicable systems. This position creates quotes and sales orders, accurately reflecting customer purchase order requirements, in the SAP Sales & Distribution module. Managing ongoing changes to SAP sales orders, monitoring inventory and billing reports, and taking appropriate action is also performed. Regular communication with external and internal customers is necessary. Actions directly impact sales, profit, and on-time delivery performance.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist when required to verify incoming shipments accuracy, identify discrepancies, and work with customers and internal departments to resolve.
  • Verify customer purchase order requirements, ensuring these can be performed by the Service Center, and resolve issues prior to accepting work by monitoring and following up with internal and external customers.
  • Understand service contracts, customer requirements, and process flow for creating Service Notifications in SAP.
  • Monitor own output and quality of work to ensure alignment with organizational standards.
  • Demonstrate ability to use tools, systems, procedures, and processes required to create SAP service notifications with moderate supervision.
  • Assist in identifying process constraints to team resolution and implement improvements for customer satisfaction.
  • May perform and assist with special projects, as required.
  • Use SAP reporting tools to create reports to meet customer expectations.
  • Coordinate holidays, extra hours, and shift changes.
  • Administer different customer portals.
  • Validate and capture reported defects.
  • Modify orders in SAP system.
Qualifications/Experience Needed
  • Typically requires AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post-high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Prior experience in a related environment involving written and oral communication with internal or external customers.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience using SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Prior experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
