Job summary

Mercedes-Benz of Tysons Corner, a Penske Automotive Group dealership, is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team and deliver outstanding parts service. You will receive, store, and ship parts, stock, and materials, while maintaining warehouse organization and accuracy in records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; six months related experience preferred.
• Experience operating warehouse equipment (dolly, pallet jack, forklift) is desirable.
• Knowledge of hazardous materials handling and safety regulations is a plus.

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for the receiving and shipping of parts, stock, equipment and materials required for the effective and efficient operations of the dealership. Competencies

• Ability to safely operate dolly, pallet jack, forklift and other equipment required to receive, ship, stock and deliver parts, scrap, and other materials
• Ability to understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect parts department including but not limited to hazardous waste disposal, emergency response, safe driving and OSHA Right-to-Know
• Ability to understand and follow all required procedures for shipping hazardous materials

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Required Education and Experience

High school diploma or the equivalent and six months related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Education and Experience

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
