Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial is hiring a Shipping/Receiving Clerk for a 1st shift role in Sterling, VA. You will handle shipping, receiving, inventory, and material handling to keep aerospace production well supplied. Expect forklift and SAP-based workflows and collaboration with logistics, quality, and engineering teams.

The position is a full-time, 6-month contract with a Monday–Friday schedule and a 7:00 AM–4:00 PM shift, offering opportunities to grow in aviation and aerospace material management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent vocational/technical education.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification.
• Experience operating a reach truck.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform shipping, receiving, and inventory management activities
• Receive and inspect incoming materials and shipments
• Unbox, box, pack, and prepare materials for shipment
• Put away materials using a forklift and reach truck
• Track and issue materials in accordance with established procedures
• Record customer and material transactions in SAP
• Perform accurate and timely data entry
• Maintain inventory accuracy and material traceability
• Assist with stockroom organization and inventory control
• Work closely with logistics and quality personnel to resolve material issues
• Follow applicable quality, safety, and regulatory procedures
• Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aviation industry to hire a Shipping/Receiving Clerk in Sterling, VA.

If you're organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in shipping, receiving, inventory, and material handling, this is your opportunity to play an important role in supporting aerospace manufacturing operations. You'll help ensure critical materials are received, tracked, stored, and delivered accurately so production teams have what they need, when they need it.

Position Details

• Job Title: Shipping/Receiving Clerk

• Location: Sterling, VA 20164

• Pay Rate: $24.50 per hour

• Job Type: Full-time, 6-month contract

• Schedule: Monday-Friday

• Shift: 1st Shift, typically 7:00 AM-4:00 PM

• Lunch: 30 minutes

• Schedule Flexibility: Flexible start/end times based on operational needs

What You'll Do

As a Shipping/Receiving Clerk, you'll support the movement, storage, and accuracy of materials used throughout aerospace manufacturing and operations. You'll work closely with logistics, quality, manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams to help ensure materials remain accurate, traceable, and compliant with company and customer requirements.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Perform shipping, receiving, and inventory management activities

We're looking for candidates who have:

• Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, inventory, or aerospace materials experience

Pay Details

$24.50 per hour
