Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Job Duties

• Inspect items on the RECEIVING side per the written policy, and receive or reject them using a barcode gun.
• Use the barcode gun to locate the inventory location and move the items to that location, either by hand cart or forklift.
• Review the barcode gun for the next order to fill, go to that location, pick the parts required, scanning the locations as you go with the barcode gun.
• Transport the items by wheeled cart, pallet jack, or forklift, and package them for shipment.
• Schedule shipments by UPS WorldShip or via our freight consolidator CH Robinson.
• If orders ship via truck, load them into the trucks when they arrive, using hand truck or forklift as required.

Requirements

• Must reside within a 40‑minute commute to the Ravenna, Ohio facility.
• High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
• U.S. work authorization (Required).
• Valid driver's license (Required).
• Forklift certification (Preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years of documented experience in shipping or receiving, picking and packing orders; truck loading/unloading experience alone is insufficient.
• Experience using a barcode gun preferred.
• Experience with UPS WorldShip preferred.
• Experience with picking and packing orders.
• Ability to lift 70 lbs on an occasional basis.
• Previous experience operating a forklift highly desired.
• This position works occasional overtime.
