Job summary

Responsibilities

• Prepares finished product to ship according to customer requirements.
• Receives and assembles bills of landing, checks against orders, reports shortages and incomplete orders, making changes as necessary.
• Greets truck drivers and loads trucks for shipment.
• Operates forklift as needed.
• Receives incoming supplies and prepares receivers (written and computer), checking for proper shipment, shortages, damages or defect; checking inventory levels and communicating with purchasing to ensure proper safetystock.
• Utilizes the company computer program and PC software to develop, maintain and generate effective reporting systems that relate to the job function.
• Ensures accurate and timely completion and distribution of all shipping and receiving documentation.
• Maintains strong communication with supply chain team, customer service, production and truck drivers, and facilitates any necessary follow-up to ensure smooth movement of goods.
• Weekly/Monthly inventory of limited supplies, including cycle counts.
• Follows and participates in plant safety/housekeeping guidelines designed to ensure a safe work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

We are currently hiring for a split shift (9:00 am to 5:00 pm) teammate in our Shipping and Receiving Department, located in Madison, WI.

JOB SUMMARY

Working within established guidelines,the Shipping/Receiving clerk willprepare, review, and trackpackages andcompletedocuments related to shipping and receivingproducts. This involves strong coordination between and direct contact with carriers, customer service,and productionteam members.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and read blueprints and technical drawings, such as machine, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small groups situations to other employees of the organization. Ability to effective present information and respond to questions form groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract,multiplyand divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, andpercent. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
