CBX Solutions LLC is seeking a detail-oriented shipping assistant to verify shipments, prepare items for dispatch, and maintain accurate shipping records. The role supports warehouse operations with equipment handling and efficient material movement.

Applicants should have a high school diploma, 6 months of related experience, and be able to pass background checks and drug tests. Forklift certification is preferred; training is available for the right candidate.

• Deliver or route materials to departments using hand-truck or forklift.
• Process returns and RMAs to manufacturers.
• Assist with inventory and requisition of shipping materials.

Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipment. Duties include assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise or material; receiving, unpacking, verifying, and recording incoming merchandise or material.

Essential Functions

• Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment
• Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading and shipping orders to route materials
• Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes
• Deliver or route materials to departments, using work devices, such as hand-truck, forklift, or sorting bins
• Hardware pack-outs for projects of varying size
• Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using work devices such as hand tools, power tools, and postage meter
• Confer and correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages and nonconformance to specifications
• Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock
• Compute amounts, such as space available, and shipping, storage, and demurrage charges, using calculator or price list.
• Process customer returns, vendor returns and RMAs to manufacturers
• Other relative duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma, or an equivalent combination of education/experience
• Forklift certification preferred
• At least 6 months of relative experience
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Basic computer skills – experience with Outlook, Word and Excel
• Good communication skills
• Ability to accurately do arithmetic, read orders, write instructions and complete forms
• Ability to work closely and cordially with other staff associates

Physical Demands

Must be able to stand and walk for much of the day. Ability to lift 5-25 pounds frequently and ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Standing, reaching, walking. Frequent lifting required of items 50+ pounds.

Work Environment

Worker is subject to frequent heavy lifting and use of power tools. May be exposed to variable weather conditions. Other conditions may include proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery and using various tools and hardware.
