Job summary

9 Mothers Corporation in Austin, TX is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to own the receiving process end-to-end. You will verify deliveries, log shipments, organize packing, and hand off items to recipients. No prior experience required; reliability and attention to detail are paramount.

Hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m., onsite in Austin. This full-time role offers on-site work with relocation assistance and an equity-forward, fast-moving lab environment in a brand-new facility.

Responsibilities

• Receive deliveries and verify against packing lists.
• Log shipments in receiving system and file packing lists.
• Organize incoming packages for quick retrieval.
• Notify recipients and hand off items.
• For outbound shipments, package, label, drive to carrier and confirm dispatch.
• Keep the receiving area clean and orderly.

About the Role

9 Mothers builds hardware in Austin, TX, and this role is the single point of contact for everything that comes into or leaves our building. You own receiving end to end: every package, every packing list, every handoff to the person waiting on it. No prior experience is required. What matters most is that you are reliable and detail-oriented, because a shipment that is misplaced or logged wrong stalls the people who need it.

What You'll Do

• Receive every delivery to the building and check it against its packing list

• Log each shipment in our receiving system and keep packing lists filed and traceable

• Organize incoming packages so anything can be found quickly

• Notify recipients when their items arrive and hand them off

• For outbound shipments, package and label the item, drive it to the carrier, and confirm it has gone out

• Keep the receiving area clean and orderly

What We're Looking For

• Reliable: you are here every day, on time, and no delivery goes uncaught

• Detail-oriented: you check quantities and part numbers against the packing list and don't let a discrepancy slide

• Organized, with basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets, or an inventory/receiving system)

• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record

• Able to lift and move packages up to 50 lb

• Prior receiving, shipping, warehouse, or inventory experience is a plus but not required

Hours & Location

• Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., onsite in Austin, TX

• The hours are fixed so someone is always on hand for every delivery window
