The Shipping/Receiving Clerk performs clerical and physical tasks related to shipping and receiving goods. This role involves verifying shipments, packaging, recording, and coordinating the movement of goods, following established guidelines and receiving guidance from supervisors for non-routine issues. The incumbent may also direct and coordinate activities of other workers engaged in handling goods.
The physical demands include standing, reaching, talking, hearing, walking, sitting, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
The work environment is usually quiet, with occasional exposure to outside weather conditions.
