Job Title: Shipping/Receiving Clerk

The Shipping/Receiving Clerk performs clerical and physical tasks related to shipping and receiving goods. This role involves verifying shipments, packaging, recording, and coordinating the movement of goods, following established guidelines and receiving guidance from supervisors for non-routine issues. The incumbent may also direct and coordinate activities of other workers engaged in handling goods.

Primary Duties

• Receive all shipments at FIG Dining, ensuring items match packing slips and order receipts.
• Perform physical checks for breakages or damage.
• Restock shelves with received items using the FIFO method.
• Conduct inventory counts and report to supervisors.
• Maintain records related to shipping and receiving.

Additional Duties

• Keep stockroom and refrigerated units clean and organized.
• Adhere to safety standards.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• HACCP Certification preferred but not required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to count and document numbers accurately.
• Ability to lift or move heavy packages (up to 50 lbs).
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.

Physical Demands
