Brief Description
Shipping/Receiving Department is responsible for receiving, storing, pulling, disbursing, shipping and accounting for all inventory and services within the company. The Shipping Receiving Clerk will be initially trained in 1 area and is expected to progressively cross‑train to be responsible for additional functions within the department.
Qualifications
- Willing to work hard, positive attitude, willing to learn, team oriented, good work ethic, sense of urgency and ability to achieve results required.
- Computer proficient with ability to make accurate inventory, job costing, labor and time‑keeping entries required.
- Experience in Scale Count, Receiving, Pulling, Packing, UPS, FedEx, LTL, and International shipping to customer specifications, equipment characteristics, transportation methods and routes preferred.
- Forklift background preferred.
- Experience in ERP preferred.
- Ability to verify identification, quantity and quality of product and accurately make corresponding entries in computer and on documentation required.
- Ability to accurately utilize shop math required.
- Ability to read & accurately interpret work instructions, procedures, etc. required.
- Attention to detail with ability to think and act analytically and use mathematics to meet job requirements required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with outside process vendors for identification and follow‑up on jobs.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including listening, speaking and writing.
- Effective team member with sense of urgency and ability to meet schedule requirements required.
- Excellent attendance record required.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to walk and stand 90%+ of shift.
- Ability to work overtime when needed, including weekends when needed.
