Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Direct movement of shipments from receiving to storage and work areas.
• Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment.
• Examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, and record shortages.
• Examine outgoing shipments to ensure they meet specifications.
• Incumbents may be matched to this position if they are responsible for one of the functions instead of both shipping and receiving.
