As a Shipping, Receiving and Warehouse Specialist you will LEAD by…….

The Shipping, Receiving and Warehouse Specialist manages the flow of goods in and out the facility, verifying and recording shipments, preparing items for shipping, and ensuring accurate inventory tracking, as well asoversees all warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing goods, ensuring efficient inventory management, management of hazardous/non-hazardous/PM waste drum storage and safety compliance.

In this role you will…

  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment, ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations.
  • Inspect incoming shipments, comparing contents with records (manifests, invoices, orders) to ensure accuracy, and documenting any discrepancies.
  • Preparing items for domestic and international shipments, including packaging, labeling, and obtaining shipping quotes. Preparing shipping documents (work orders, bills of lading, shipping orders), and maintaining records of shipments.
  • Accurately track and manage inventory levels of shipping and receiving supplies such as boxes, envelopes, stickers, packaging materials, drums (metal, fiber, jerrycans, etc.), ensure timely fulfillment of orders and minimize stockouts or overstocking, implement and maintain inventory management systems, conduct regular inventory audits
  • Perform weekly audits of Hazardous/Non-Hazardous Waste Accumulation Areas of regulated and non-regulated waste drums. Collect full drums of waste from labs and move to central accumulation area and replace with new empty drums.
  • Assist with compressed gas cylinder movements as needed from gas cylinder storage shed to end-of-use points in labs or within facility.
  • Assisting with loading and unloading trucks and deliveries.
  • Oversee receiving, warehousing, and distribution processes, optimize warehouse layout and storage space utilization, manage the flow of goods through the warehouse, ensure timely and accurate shipping and receiving.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, suppliers, and other stakeholders, collaborate with other departments to coordinate product movement and optimize operations.
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • 3+ years logistics, retail, or customer service experience is required
  • Forklift certification is preferred (if not certified, certification training will be provided)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong sense of time organization and urgency
  • Able to work independently and within a team
