Job summary

Modineer Company in Niles, MI is seeking a Shipping & Receiving associate for the 2nd shift. This full time indirect labor role reports to the Department Supervisor.

Responsibilities include unloading raw materials, receiving materials in ERP, labeling, operating forklift/crane, and aiding production. The position requires teamwork, attention to safety, and reliable attendance.

Candidates should have ERP/MRP experience (PLEX preferred), inventory control knowledge, and forklift operation skills.

Qualifications

• Experience with MRP/ERP systems, Plex is a plus.
• Knowledge of inventory control functions preferred.
• Ability to operate a forklift safely.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.

FLSA Status : Non-exempt

Schedule : Monday - Friday 2pm-10pm

Summary of duties and responsibilities:

Performs all material handling functions involved in the manufacturing and assembly processes of Modineer Company.

Primary duties and responsibilities:

• Unload raw materials from delivery vehicles and perform quality inspection.
• Receives raw materials in ERP System and record material parameters.
• Ensures items are correctly labeled and located in the proper area in an organized manner.
• Operates forklift and crane to move and unload products, materials, and/or tools.
• Assist plant production by material handling in between receiving requirements.
• Understands and adheres to inventory control functions.
• Be willing to perform whatever duty is asked, even if it is not your typical work area.
• Demonstrates strong organizational and communication skills.
• Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.

Education, prior work experience and specialized skills and knowledge :

• Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (PLEX is a plus).
• Knowledge and experience in inventory control functions preferred.
• Must be able to operate a forklift safely, and maintain a clean, safe, environment.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.

Physical environment/working conditions:

Works in a manufacturing environment in warm or cold temperatures. The individual must be able to do the following:

• Visually receive and identify detailed information.
• Detect the presence of sounds within a range of volumes and frequencies.
