Job summary

1Resource Group is hiring an experienced Warehouse Technician for our Harrison, OH distribution facility. You will efficiently handle receiving, stocking, picking, packing and shipping, using RF scan guns and operating forklifts and pallet jacks as needed.

This day shift role requires accuracy and reliability in a small team environment, with overtime available. Maintain safety, organize work areas, and ensure timely processing of orders and shipments.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of general warehouse experience and one year of freight shipping experience.
• Able to drive and safely operate a forklift, stock picker and electronic pallet jack per 29 CFR 1910.178.
• Experience using bar code readers, computer terminals and/or other electronic devices.
• Solid mathematical abilities/aptitude.
• Capable of working at a fast pace with good time management.
• Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work with little direction.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify product against packing list.
• Use RF scan gun to receive and stock products; report shortages or damages.
• Load, unload, and store product according to documents or supervisor instructions.
• Identify and stage items for stocking or shipping; rotate stock as needed.
• Pull orders with RF scan gun; meet minimum pick rate of 20 lines per hour.
• Prepare outbound freight; create and verify shipping documents; coordinate with carriers.

Job description

1Resource Group is looking to hirean experienced and highly motivated Warehouse Technician working out of our Harrison, OH distribution facility. As a Warehouse Technician you will be responsible for efficiently and accurately performing a broad range of warehouse duties related to the receipt, shipment, storage, distribution or delivery of products and general warehouse maintenance. Based on our small team environment, dependability is critical, including the ability to work overtime when needed. This is a day shift position.

Key Responsibilities:

Receiving/Stocking:

• Count product and verify against packing list
• Accurately receive product utilizing RF scan gun and/or in accordance with procedures
• Reports and notes shortages or damages.
• Organize/stage items in preparation for stocking or shipping
• Load, unload, move or store product according to delivery or routing documents or supervisor instructions
• Verify proper placement (bin location) and stock product accordingly
• Rotate and replenish stock as required

Picking/Packing:

• Using an RF scan gun, pull orders accurately by verifying location and part number against RF gun and picklist.
• Meet minimum pick rate of 20 lines per hour picked
• Stage pulled orders in appropriate staging areas: freight, ground, will call
• Reports and notes inventory discrepancies to lead associates for additional research

Freight Shipping:

• Prepare and palletize outbound freight according to carrier and company requirements.
• Create and verify shipping documents such as bills of lading and packing lists.
• Stage and organize shipments for timely carrier pickup.
• Load freight safely using appropriate equipment while following weight and safety guidelines.
• Confirm shipment accuracy before loading and address any discrepancies.
• Communicate with carriers and internal teams to coordinate pickups and resolve issues.

Other duties:

• Organize and complete appropriate paperwork relating to the receipt, storage, or distribution of materials
• Exercise general warehouse maintenance to ensure cleanliness/appearance/safety
• Continually exercise precautions to protect warehouse contents against damage or loss
• Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with internal/external customers
• Cross train and perform back-up duties for other warehouse associates as requested
• Complete equipment inspection checklists daily, prior to use of equipment.
• Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with team members and internal/external customers.
• Complies with all company policies/procedures and safety guidelines
• Ensure work areas are organized efficiently while maintaining security/safety measures.
• Upholds Company productivity, quality, and safety standards.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Pay $20hr

Education Requirements:

High School diploma or GED.

Minimum Qualifications:

Certifications, Licenses, Registration: Previous license operating a forklift AND stock picker.

Based on the type of equipment we work on, the job is physical and labor intensive, i.e. heavy lifting, climbing on equipment and grinding out of position. Individuals will be required to frequently sit/drive stand, walk, lift/carry, reach, stoop, push/pull, handle/grasp/feel, talk, hear, climb step ladder, engage in repetitive motions, and demonstrate eye/hand/foot coordination. Close vision is required for this job. Employees are required to regularly lift, carry and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Position frequently demands light to heavy physical work. All positions require standing over 90% of the day.
