Job summary

Columbia Forest Products is seeking an experienced forklift operator to join our second shift in a live production environment. You will operate the forklift safely and efficiently while following established procedures.

In addition to complying with safety rules and using personal protective equipment, you will provide feedback and apply critical thinking to daily tasks in a fast-paced setting that features moving machinery and active forklift traffic.

Qualifications

• Must be an experienced forklift operator.
• Able to follow written and verbal job instructions.
• Able to provide feedback and apply critical thinking.
• Must be able to use personal safety equipment in a manufacturing environment with moving machinery and forklift traffic.

Job description

Successful candidates for this 2nd shift position must be an experienced forklift operator. Able to operate the forklift safely and efficiently in a production setting. This position requires you to follow written and verbal job instructions. Being able to provide feedback and apply critical thinking are other keys to this position. Employees must be able to use personal safety equipment while working in a manufacturing environment that includes moving machinery, fast paced forklift traffic, machine noise, and a work environment that will vary depending on the time of the year.
