Qualifications

  • Excellent oral and written English.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Verifies materials against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and various damages.
  • Delivers and retrieves material from the loading dock.
  • Routes material to assigned storage locations.
  • Stores materials in accordance with storage procedures.
  • Removes material from storage and prepares them for shipment; reporting deterioration and damage.
  • Completes tasks to accomplish all warehouse operations as assigned by the Site Supervisor.
  • Competes in data entry and maintains a database of inventory records associated with warehouse operations.
  • Performs inventories and updates inventory records and system to accurately reflect shipment and receipts.
  • Verifies incoming shipments by comparing invoice manifest, storage receipts, or other records.
  • Checks for damaged goods, ensuring that goods are appropriately identified for routing to departments.
  • Prepares and keeps records of goods received.
  • Inform the responsible company of shipments received.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Under the direction of the Project Manager, the Shipping Packer performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of inventory and storage procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verifies materials against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and various damages.
  • Delivers and retrieves material from the loading dock.
  • Routes material to assigned storage locations.
  • Stores materials in accordance with storage procedures.
  • Removes material from storage and prepares them for shipment; reporting deterioration and damage according to the procedure.
  • Completes tasks to accomplish all warehouse operations as assigned by the Site Supervisor.
  • Competes in data entry and maintains a database of inventory records associated with warehouse operations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must have a High School diploma or equivalent. One (1) year of experience working in a Federal, DoD, or commercial warehouse/ inventory setting. Must possess sound judgment, foresight, and problem-solving skills. Basic computer email and word processing skills are required. Possess excellent oral and written communications skills; fluency in spoken and written English. Demonstrated strong customer service skills. Ability to adapt to fast-paced work/office environment with accuracy. Must possess or be able to maintain a Secret clearance.
