Job summary

We Pack Logistics is seeking a Packaging Manager to lead the contract packaging and repack functions. The role emphasizes safety, quality, continuous improvement, and controlling labor costs while meeting production targets and customer specifications.

The position is a full-time role with Monday through Friday schedule, offering a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for process improvements within the operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or 4+ years related experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily execution of packaging at locations of responsibility to ensure high customer service.
• Ensure packaging function operates efficiently and profitably, meeting customer needs.
• Oversee planning and personnel for the packaging operation.
• Support Production Supervisor in staffing by coordinating with internal and external staffing partners to meet timelines and financial targets.
• Collaborate with warehousing to provide a seamless, single service for the customer.

The Packaging Manager will be a hands-on, self-motivated individual with an ability to lead the contract packaging and repack function while prioritizing safety, quality, continuous improvement, and labor cost management. The Packaging Manager is responsible for the financial and operational performance of the packaging function for the location of focus. This individual will not be satisfied with just meeting daily objectives, they will constantly be looking to make improvements within the operation. They will oversee the labor, machine performance, and supporting material movements to ensure production deliverables meets the planned targets and customer’s quality and specification needs.

Monday - Friday

• Manages the daily execution of packaging work at locations of responsibility to ensure the highest level of customer service
• ~Ensures the packaging function executes work efficiently and profitabily while partnering closely together to meet all customer needs
• ~Oversees the planning function and personnel for the packaging operation
• ~Supports Production Supervisor in appropriately managing staffing levels by working with internal and external staffing partners to ensure customer and operational timeline commitments are met while hitting financial targets
• ~Effective collaborates and partner with the warehousing side of the operation to guarantee a seamless, single service for the customer
