Job summary

Associated Materials is seeking a Shipper to support our manufacturing facility in Texas. The role focuses on preparing, organizing, and overseeing shipments of finished products to customers, using forklifts and scanners, while maintaining safety and inventory practices.

Applicants should be able to work in a hot, fast-paced environment, read orders, and handle loading, unloading, and palletization tasks. High school diploma or GED is preferred, with forklift experience strongly desired.

Qualifications

• Must be Safety oriented.
• Must have experience or willingness to learn how to operate hand-held scanner and PC to enter shipping data.
• Must take proper care of equipment and company property.
• Able and willing to work overtime.
• Able to work in a hot, fast-paced environment on feet 8+ hours a day.
• Able to use small hand tools.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with manufacturing/plastics extrusion desirable.
• Product knowledge desirable.
• 2 years of Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, organize, and oversee shipment of finished products.
• Read and understand orders.
• Cube trailers for material to fit properly.
• Load floor stacked and palletized material and unload incoming products.
• Operate pallet rider and forklift.
• Maintain 5-S housekeeping and safe work environment.
• Follow good inventory practices.
