Introduction

The Plant Logistics / (Shipping Operator) position responsible for the safe and efficient handling, storage, and shipment of finished Performance Pipe products. This role supports daily shipping activities by loading pipe coils and packaged products onto trailers, stocking finished goods in designated storage locations, and properly handling materials throughout the facility. The Shipping Operator serves as a key point of contact for incoming and outgoing truck drivers, ensuring compliance with Performance Pipe safety requirements and load securement standards.

In this position, employees will verify shipping information, check drivers into the facility, communicate plant safety expectations, and review proper strapping and load securement procedures before shipments leave the plant. The Shipping Operator works closely with operations, warehouse, and transportation personnel to maintain product quality, shipping accuracy, and a safe work environment while meeting customer delivery requirements.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for required documents associated with shipping and receiving activities
• Manages shipping activities for containers such as totes & cylinders
• Verification of quantities, destination, and routing of shipments/deliveries
• Enters sample requests into SAP
• Participates in routine inventory and reporting activities
• Document management and filing responsibilities
• Ensures shipments comply with DOT requirements, including ensuring proper label/placarding

Required Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Experience in forklift operation
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office
