Job summary

UniFirst seeks a reliable Production Team Partner to lead the Shipping & Mending areas, supervising daily operations and quality in the plant. The role includes training team partners, maintaining records, and ensuring timely and accurate shipments, while aligning with safety and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 2–4 years of related experience and/or training preferred.
• Familiarity with Windows Operating systems Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly with management.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical operations using American standard units of weight, volume, and distance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and quality in the shipping and mending areas of the plant.
• Train and coach team partners on assigned job duties and responsibilities.
• Verify and keep records of incoming and outgoing shipments, including managing the lot system.
• Oversee outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy and completeness of shipments.
• Maintain reports, records, and documentation reflecting department activities.
• Ensure all finished garments are properly sorted and staged for each route daily.
• Oversee inspection, repair, and replacement of garments as necessary.
• Manage CAN process in-plant changes as needed.
• Ensure all mended products meet required comfort, appearance, and durability standards.
• Oversee all mending work orders to align with shipping schedule.
• Observe team partners for safety and regulatory compliance.
• Follow safety policies, HACCP and medical guidelines.
• Perform other duties as described by area supervisor or management.
