Job summary

Manpower Group (USA) collaborates with a leading logistics and distribution organization in Sikeston, MO to hire a Shipping Material Handler. You will support the Shipping Department by sorting, scanning, staging, and wrapping merchandise with care and accuracy.

Certification in power equipment (pallet rider, forklift, walkie, and hand pallet jack), the ability to read truck loading forecasts, and proficiency with scanners are required.

Qualifications

• Certification in power equipment operation (pallet rider, forklift, walkie, hand pallet jack).
• Ability to read and interpret truck loading forecast summaries.
• Strong skills with scanners and identifying customer stop codes.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under supervision and communicate changes in truck runs.

Responsibilities

• Sort, scan, stage, and wrap merchandise to support the distribution center.
• Check merchandise and ensure products load in sequence per customer stop code.
• Operate pallet riders, forklifts, utility vehicles, and hand pallet jacks safely.
• Read truck loading forecast summaries and set up truck runs accordingly.
• Stack pallets properly to secure products for transport.

What's the Job?

• Support the distribution center by efficiently sorting, scanning, staging, and wrapping merchandise.
• Check merchandise and ensure products are loaded and checked in according to the delivery sequence by customer stop code.
• Operate power equipment such as pallet riders, forklifts, utility vehicles, and hand pallet jacks safely and effectively.
• Read truck loading forecast summaries and set up truck runs accordingly.
• Stack pallets properly to prevent customer service issues and secure products for transport.
