• Complete additional related duties as needed.

Job Overview: A material handler is an individual responsible for the efficient and organized movement of materials within a warehouse or distribution center. Their primary role involves loading and unloading shipments, sorting, and organizing inventory, and ensuring accurate record‑keeping. Material handlers use various equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials safely and quickly. They play a crucial role in maintaining inventory accuracy, fulfilling orders, and supporting the overall logistics and supply chain operations of a business.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle in‑plant materials
• Wrapping and banding freight
• Pick up and deliver raw materials, work in process inventory, and packaging supplies, as needed, to and from the presses and shipping areas
• Successfully complete forklift certification program
• Label and prepare packages for shipment
• Additional related duties as required

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills
• Effective communication skills: fluent English reading, writing, speaking
• Experience working in shipping/receiving/warehouse
• Able to work in a fast paced environment
• Ensure FIFO is followed for all transactions
• Able to continuously stand, walk, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds
